Independent Patient Involvement Cambridge Orthopaedic Review
Our role is to ensure patients, families, and carers can have the opportunity to share their experiences in a safe, supportive, and trauma-sensitive environment. This work is separate from the clinical review and investigation already underway.
Listening events
The first round of independent listening events will take place this autumn:
- In-person event: Tuesday 30th September, 10.30am until 2.45pm
-
Online event: Tuesday 7th October, 6pm until 8pm.
Further sessions will follow, and we encourage everyone affected to register their interest, so they are kept informed about future opportunities.
At the events you can:
- Share your experiences confidentially with independent experts
- Receive updates on the review process
- Help shape how CUH responds to the review findings
No CUH staff will be present. Support will be available, and participants may remain anonymous if they choose.
Other ways to be involved
Alongside the listening events, Olovus will help establish a Patient Advisory Group (and a Young People’s Advisory Group).
This is to ensure that patients and families can play a continuing role in shaping the Trust’s future orthopaedic services.
How to register
Please register for the listening events (or to express your interest to stay informed about future involvement opportunities) via the CUH website.
You can also scan the QR code to register quickly and easily.
Our commitment
At Olovus, we are committed to independence, compassion, and listening. We particularly want to hear from children, young people, families, and others whose voices are often underrepresented.
